That creep can roll.

This strikes me as a blatant rip-off of Nick Lowe, circa 1994, but I don’t care. This is stunning and beautiful and you need to just listen to it already.
I hate hearing about someone else’s dreams, but I can’t stop thinking about one I had two nights ago. I basically dared myself to enter a 20th century classical music performance competition, electing to play a solo piano piece by Olivier Messiaen. I don’t remember what piece it was, but it was similar in style to the piece I posted here. Bear in mind that I can’t really play the piano at all. I faked my way through it, totally making it up as I went along. I brought the house down and broke a few piano strings in the process. Did I mention that I can’t stop thinking about this dream?
Fishbone is holding a contest for anyone who wants to design the cover of their upcoming EP, Crazy Glue. I was bored this afternoon and came up with this. I honestly don’t think it’s all that great, but it took me very little time. And I think it’s better than most of the entries they’ve received already, if you want to know the truth.
They were pretty clear about not using copyrighted images or stock photos, so I used a photo that I took myself, back in 2007 at my friend Josh Powers’ recording studio in East Boston.
The contest winner gets 400 bucks.
